School Bus Safety School bus

Sharing the Road with School Buses

Never pass a bus from behind - or from either direction if you're on an undivided road - if it is stopped to load or unload children.

If the yellow or red lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended; traffice MUST stop.

The area 10 feet around a school bus is the most dangerous for children; stop far enough back to allow them space to safety enter and exit the bus.

Be alert!  Children often are unpredictable, and they tend to ignore hazards and take risks.

The speed limit in school zones is 20 mph during school recess and during the opening and closing hours of schools.  A speeding offense in a school zone carries a maximum possible penalty of $300 plus court costs.

Attention: Parent/Guardian of Graduating Seniors

It is hard to believe that this month your son or daughter will be graduating.  We want to make sure that the day is a true celebration for you and your student.  To that end, we are sending out fee notices now, so that you can arrange accordingly to ensure that the balance is paid in full before graduation in order for your son or daughter to receive his/her diploma at commencement.

There are a variety of ways to make sure that fees are paid in full.  The easiest way is to use our online payment system through Infinite Campus.  You may pay by check or credit card via the online system.  Credit card payments may be processed up until May 12, 2017.   Check payments made online or at the building must be received by May 12, 2017 to allow time for processing.  Any payments made at the building after May 12, 2017 must be made in cash, bank check or money order by May 18, 2017 in order for your son/daughter to receive a diploma at commencement.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope that you enjoy the last few weeks of your student's senior year.

Michael J. Vaccariello, Treasurer

Thank You!
