Dear Madison Community:
The month has flown by. There are so many activities happening around the district to occupy you on a cold winter night.
Tonight at the high school, our Thespian troupe will be performing in the Winter One-Acts. The show starts at 7 p.m and there is no admission fee, but donations are welcome.
Conferences for the second semester are underway. The elementary buildings have one more evening of conferences on February 1. Madison Middle School conferences are February 8 & 15. Madison High School Conferences are February 8 and 16. The College Credit Plus meeting is scheduled for February 8 at 5 p.m. at Madison High School. For more information about any of these events, please contact the building principal.
The district received an updated notification regarding the work on Middle Ridge Road. The work has been delayed and is tentatively scheduled to begin starting the week of February 6. The road will be closed to through traffic for several months from Hubbard Road to Burns Road. Please plan accordingly when coming to events at either Madison High School or Madison Middle School. I will keep you updated as I get more information.
Our newsletter this week features articles on our District Leadership Team, the Assistant Superintendent's Office, and the Madison Local Schools annual spelling bee. Please take time to read what is going on in the district. If there is something you want to know more about regarding the district, please email me at angela.smith@madisonschools.net.
In addition, February 1 is National Read Aloud Day. I encourage all of you to pick up a book and read it aloud to a special child in your life. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. #MadisonStrong!
Sincerely,
Angela Smith
Superintendent
