Middle School students impress on Field Trips

After a few years’ hiatus due to COVID-19, our students were finally able to take field trips again! Each of our Middle School grades was incredibly excited to take overnight trips with their friends and teachers, not only exploring the sights, but learning some history!

Our 8th grade students went on an overnight trip to Washington D.C., our 7th graders went to Columbus, OH, and our 6th graders went to Niagara Falls. Each grade level had a great time and were on their best behavior.

“We got a number of compliments on how well behaved our students were compared to other schools,” states Principal Whaley. “This is a direct result of our PBIS initiatives.”

These initiatives award students of the year for PBIS with a certificate and a treat. Students, nominated by their teachers, also receive two passes to Pioneer Waterland, and are then put into a drawing for a big screen 4k Smart TV.
