Madison High School Art Club is excited to announce that Madison has made it to the top 50 in the Vans Custom Culture Competition! At this stage, voting is open to the public, and any person can vote once a day until May 6. Go vote for Madison’s Vans design here.
This Competition had students design and create a unique shoe design that encapsulates the themes “Van D(IY)oren Legacy” and “Hometown Pride” for Vans, a company that makes footwear and apparel inspired by skaters and originality. 250 schools submitted and Madison made it to the top 50! The winning schools will be determined by the community online vote.
The grand-prize winning school will be announced on May 16, 2022, and will receive a $50,000 check for the program; runner-ups will receive $15,000, and the top five schools will each receive an artist mentorship lesson from one of Van’s art ambassadors. In addition, Vans and Scholarship America will provide an opportunity for graduating seniors from the top 250 schools’ designs to apply for a $10,000 scholarship, where five seniors will be chosen for a total of $50,000 donated.
