Recently a 'Community Survey' was completed to assess perceptions of the Madison Local School District on a wide array of indicators. The survey was designed to gather data to help inform the District in strategic planning both now and in the future. Questions covered a wide range of topics including: District finances, funding and budgeting, communication, safety, quality of education, extracurricular activities, student learning, and opportunities for improvement.
"We're hoping that this survey along with conversations we have daily with our residents, students, staff, and families will bring us together, as we work together to continuously improve educational opportunities for all students in the Madison Local School District", stated Superintendent Angela Smith.
Respondents who participated in the survey, voluntarily signed up to be a participant and included; parents, residents, staff, and students. The online and paper survey was conducted by the Ohio School Boards Association during January. Results of the survey were presented by Cheryl Ryan, OSBA Director of Board Services at the February 7, 2017 Madison Board of Education meeting.
