Madison educators, along with the educators of other Lake County Districts, received their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine last week. Riverside Local Schools hosted the vaccine clinic for Madison, Fairport Harbor, Riverside Painesville, and several other non-public schools in Lake County.
For many individuals, this was a day that was waited for, and the joy was evident throughout. One Madison teacher referred to the vaccination as an early birthday gift. Assistant Superintendent Dave Bull and Superintendent Angela Smith were onsite throughout the day to support staff and help where needed.
“In a year filled with challenges, the ability to receive the vaccine was not taken lightly by the staff, and I was glad to be a part of it,” said Superintendent Smith.
