Eighth graders view NAMI Ending the Silence presentation

On May 13, NAMI Ending the Silence presented to the Madison eighth graders. This was a fifty-minute presentation designed to help middle and high school students understand mental health conditions and make them more likely to recognize warning signs in themselves and others, and ask for the help that they, or a friend need.

Research has shown that NAMI Ending the Silence for Students is effective in changing middle and high school students’ knowledge and attitudes toward mental health conditions and toward seeking help.
