North Elementary Santa Streak and Canned Food Drive

Santa Streaks

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! As we approach the holidays, North Elementary is proud to welcome back two of Madison’s most popular fundraisers: Santa Streak and the Canned Food Drive.

Santa Streak gives back to our Blue Streak families in need this holiday season. Over 70 kids experience a better Christmas because of the kindness of our alumni, staff, local businesses, churches, and community members. So far, North has raised over $10,000 for those in need this year. Madison Middle School also participates in Santa Streak, and currently is up to 35 kids.

If you would like to donate to the Santa Streak, there is a Christmas tree in our front lobby with envelopes on it that contain a “wish list” of needs including clothing sizes and wants like a toy or game. If you adopt a Santa Streak, please take the envelope and purchase what you feel financially comfortable with on the list. Please also wrap the presents, label them from Santa, and bring them back to North Elementary so we can distribute them to the parent(s) of that child. Envelopes will be available until December 17 and gifts will be delivered by staff on December 21 and 22.

In addition, our Canned Food Drive is going on right now! The theme of the drive is “BIGS vs LITTLES,” as the Kindergarten, first, and second graders face-off against the third, fourth, and fifth graders. The goal is to collect 1,000 items, and all canned foods will be donated to Madison Food Bank. The race is on -- and lasts until December 11!
