Fox 8 News

The Madison High School Blue Streak Marching Band was featured on the Fox 8 News this morning, August 27, to kick off the 2021 Friday Night Touchdown season. Kenny Crumpton, of “Kickin’ It With Kenny,” welcomed the 150 marching band members to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum plaza. This is the third time the Blue Streak Marching Band has been featured on Fox 8 News under the direction of Band Director Brett Tomko.

“I have been talking to the producer all through Covid,” says Director Tomko. “When they were allowed to have bands back, they held the first spot of the season for us!”

The Band will also be playing at the away football game at Lakeside tonight, making it a long day for the Madison Marching Band! Students reported to the band room at 4:15 AM this morning, and aired on Fox 8 as early as 6:55 AM.

“I normally don’t plan Fox 8 on an away game, but when they hold a spot for us -- I couldn’t say no!” adds Director Tomko.
