MLS celebrates with end-of-the-year activities

While we love when school is in session, we also love getting to send off our students for a relaxing summer at the end of a successful school year! The students at all Madison Local Schools work so hard each year to keep up with their studies, discover their interests, and continue creating a community MLS is proud to represent. When the weather warms up, we can’t help but allow our students to express their excitement and pride at the year’s events with their friends and families.

MLS would like to thank all of our students, staff, families, and community for their support and enthusiasm throughout the 2022-23 school year. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Check out what our schools have been doing to welcome the end of the school year – trust us, you won’t want to miss this fun!

You probably know what our High School has been up to – graduation! High School students have also been recognized with awards presentations, signing ceremonies, powderpuff matches, and more. While this time is typically senior-focused, our underclassmen were busy with their own class celebrations, and our juniors got to celebrate the next big thing in their life (graduating in 2024!).

Madison Middle School has been reveling in end-of-the-year activities! With the 6th graders going off on their class field trip to Niagara Falls, the Middle Schoolers have been having fun and keeping up their learning chops. Middle School students also:

  • Celebrated with an 8th grade Honors Breakfast, hosted at Madison Family Restaurant; 47 students were recognized for maintaining a 3.5 GPA for 11 quarters of school, and 4 students for maintaining a 4.0

  • Got wild with the 8th Grade Annual Lock-In, which allowed students to stay at the school for a whole night to play games with their friends

  • Held a “Beautification Day,” where the MMS Student Council weeded and mulched flower beds to beautify our school

  • Welcomed students in with a 6th Grade Orientation, which included a scavenger hunt and a sweet treat provided by Madison Dairy Queen
