MMS raises over $1,000 for outdoor classroom through Staff vs Student Volleyball game

Staff vs Student Volleyball game

Madison Middle School held a Staff vs Student Volleyball game to help raise funds to build an outdoor classroom. There was a 28-team bracket that competed to play a staff team; the final team gave the staff a run for their money, with the staff team barely pulling through to win by one point.

“It was a great day where we all felt normal for a while, without the thought of a pandemic,” says Principal Jack Whaley.

With participation fees and a $1 entry fee at the door, the game raised over $1,000 to put toward building the outdoor classroom, which will provide teachers an opportunity to teach in a new environment more conducive with certain lessons and labs.
