Middle Schoolers take a trip around the world

Virtual Spring Break

The Madison Middle School Student Council sponsored a virtual “Spring Break” Spirit Week March 15-18. Each day, students were able to go on a virtual field trip to a new location. Students and staff were encouraged to participate and dress up based on the daily destination.

First period teachers were given a stack of “boarding passes,” which were then given to students who participated. In order to receive a boarding pass, students had to be dressed to match the daily theme. The students had the opportunity to earn four boarding passes for the week, which they could then put in the prize bucket of their choice during lunch.

Students visited:

  • Cooperstown, New York, for a fun day of baseball

  • Disney World, to see the one and only Mickey Mouse

  • Ireland, to experience the magic of St. Patrick’s Day

  • Hawaii, to practice our hula dancing

While we understand our school year has looked drastically different, we were happy to create a fun and unique experience for our Middle Schoolers during this time. Stay positive!
