Learning Targets for the week include:
1)  I can write for a range of time and tasks.
2)  I can explain how an author develops the point of view of a narrator or text's characters.
3)  I can describe how a story's plot unfolds using a series of episodes.
4)  I can write for a range of time and tasks.
5)  I can spell correctly.
6)  I can use vocabulary appropriate to sixth grade topics.

Activities for the week include:
1)  Each day class will start with 15 minutes of SSR.  Students will be completing a Novel Organizer on Literary
     Elements for their novel.  It is due Wed. 9/18.
2)  Students will write a Personal Experience Narrative using the Writing Process.  They will present these
      to the class on Thursday.
3)  At the end of each class I will be reading aloud The Summer of the Swans, a Newbery Medal winner by
      Betsy Byars.
